Winter Special: Ordinary Miracle

Pushkin House is pleased to host a Winter Special party, where musicians, DJs and performers will be taking over the whole building. The space will be transformed into a haven of theatre decorations and masquerade, so prepare for a celebration that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, where introspection meets kitsch aesthetics.

Join us for a uniquely curated night and enjoy the finest selection of London's experimental electronic music.

Pushkin House is committed to making all of our events as accessible as possible for every audience member. Please get in touch with us if you have a particular request and we will gladly discuss with you the best way to accommodate it.

About the artists

HMLTD - Since their emergence in early 2016, HMLTD has championed the gesamtkunstwerk ethos, striving to offer audiences an immersive experience like no other. The creation of their second album, The Worm, unfolded over two years, involving a cast of 47 musicians, a gospel choir and a 16-piece string orchestra. Far beyond a mere concept album, The Worm is a fully-fledged musical universe, recreating a disorienting, anachronistic version of Medieval England. Infused with elements of dystopian sci-fi fantasy, folklore, and Old English mythology, it manifests as both a political polemic and a profoundly moving psychological journey.

USHKO - Drawing inspiration from the realms of 90s and early 00s Russian trance and drum and bass, USHKO's sonic tapestry mirrors the sounds of pre- and late-Soviet club scenes. Seeking to transcend conventional styles, her music becomes a translation of emotions that defies linguistic/logical/cultural boundaries. Through the medium of UK breaking bass, she encapsulates themes of revolt and liberation, capturing a fusion of nostalgic echoes and hyperpop beats.

SUPCHIKMODE - In music, she admires eclectic sound and deep basses, fast bpm and off-topic overlaid vocals, relaxing gabber and deconstructed rhythms.

VENESIAWORLD - Hailing from Estonia, VENESIAWORLD is not just a DJ, but a provocateur and music producer based in the Balkans. Renowned for his provocative style and satire aimed at the new values of showbiz, he skillfully blends the notions of cult and rebellion. Prepare for a journey that will make your soul dance with explosive, emotional, and harsh beats.

MAX BALIN is a music producer and DJ based in London. There are no words to quite pinpoint what to expect, if not everything. MAX BALIN has to be witnessed and experienced live. Don’t miss out, you’ll like the way it sounds.

ZLATIK - A music curator and producer, ZLATIK specialises in deconstructed club music and hyperpop. Within their mixes, slinky, dark beats coexist with nepo baby aesthetics and dark minimalism.

ANASTASIYA OLEGOVNA is an artist and a curator, part of Unbridled Screaming Collective and an honorary member of Pushkin House Team.
