Zine-Making Workshop with Jasmine Kahlia

Audiovisual artist Jasmine Kahlia is pleased to present an open zine-making workshop at Pushkin House! 

Together, we will be looking at themes of memory, nostalgia and trusting in our voices. In this workshop, you will also be able to learn about different art mediums such as pastels, illustration and collage, zine-binding techniques and a brief history of zines! This workshop will be open to all — do let us know ahead of time if you have any access needs or requirements.

Jasmine Kahlia has created many iconic zines including:

  • Evrythin is Temporary, 

  • Eyy Wat u Sayyiiinnn?, 

  • Hoodrat,  

  • Bro, Papi, Son,

  • Secretos y Sueños.

These zines have been posted out to fans in: Spain, Gambia, Canada, France, Peru and Ecuador.

They have also been archived in: UAL, Wellcome Collection, Goldsmiths, INIVA, Sittingbourne Library, Gateshead, Goldsmiths, Sherwood Zine Library [USA] and more!
