Since 24th of February 2022 we have changed the programme of Pushkin House, dedicating our resources to raising awareness and better understanding the various aspects of Russian imperialism and Russia’s complex culture as well as promoting anti-war voices. We included solidarity events that help raise funds for creatives in Ukraine and charities that support displaced and vulnerable people affected by the war. So far we have raised £27,589.79 through art, merchandise and ticket sales.
In 2023 we asked artists, curators, academics, writers and activists to share thair thoughts and feelings about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We did the same in 2024 and we will continue to do so every year until the war ends. You can read the statements below.
